“Bone Valley 5” Shark Tooth Collection

Each display is made from a shadow box (think of a picture frame with a thin, clear layer of plastic on either side to help keep the contents from moving) with a display sheet glued in place and features five STUNNING examples of some of Bone Valley’s most iconic species: a lemon, a hemipristis, a megalodon, a tiger, and a bull, all in the various shades of blue, yellow, orange, tan, white, green, etc. that this region is known for. Each tooth is hand selected to ensure a broad representation of these colors so you’re sure to get an amazing variety.
The back of each display features a map of where Bone Valley is located and a rundown of what makes this region so special. In addition, each display comes with a fossil FAQ and info-packed ID cards for each species included.
For those unfamiliar, the Bone Valley Formation (or member) is a series of fossil-rich deposits found in central Florida’s “phosphate district.” These deposits are internationally renowned for the quality and especially color of fossils they produce, with Bone Valley shark teeth in particular being famed for the colors mentioned above. Though much of this region was once open to fossil hunters, access has been severely restricted over the last several decades, drastically reducing the supply of these amazing teeth and making them more sought after than ever by collectors the world over.
